Chief of Police

Brian Conte

Chief Conte joined the Mount Ephraim Police Department in 1999 as a full time Patrolman.  He quickly rose through the ranks serving at the rank of Corporal, Sergeant, Detective Sergeant and in 2013 he was promoted to the rank of Captain.  In December of 2015 Chief Conte was appointed “Acting Chief” of the Mount Ephraim Police Department and was sworn into the permanent role of Chief of Police on January 7th, 2016.

 

Chief Conte graduated from St. Joseph’s Prep High School; lettering in multiple sports including Wrestling and Tennis.  He continued his education while pursuing his dream of becoming a Police Officer, ultimately earning a Master’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.  Chief Conte has completed the New Jersey Department of Personnel’s Certified Public Manager Program, which is also sponsored by Fairleigh Dickinson University.  In addition to his many duties as Police Chief; Brian is also the Emergency Medical Service Coordinator for M.E.P.R.I. Ambulance squad (Mt. Ephraim Police Reserves Inc), and has served as the Executive President of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 76 until his recent promotion.  He is also an adjunct professor in the Criminal Justice department at Camden County College and an instructor at the Camden County Police Academy.  Brian has also served the Zone 5 Critical Incident Team (regional SWAT team) as a Tactical Medic.

 

Brian is a lifelong resident of the Borough of Mt. Ephraim.  In his spare time he enjoys playing softball, coaching junior wrestling and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

 

Captain of Police

 Brandon Siefert

Captain Siefert joined the Mount Ephraim Police Department as a Class II special officer in 1999, after serving the City of North Wildwood.  In 2000, Captain Siefert was appointed as a full time Police Officer with the Borough and has been serving here ever since.  Captain Siefert has risen through the ranks, serving as a Patrol Sergeant, Detective Sergeant and in February of 2018 was promoted to his current rank of Police Captain.

 

Captain Siefert is a graduate of the prestigious New Jersey Chief’s of Police Association Command & Leadership Academy, formerly known as the West Point Military Academy Command & Leadership program.  Brandon is also a certified firearms, rifle and shotgun instructor.  Brandon has served the Zone 5 Critical Incident Team (regional SWAT Team) for over 16 years and currently serves as the teams Tactical Commander; he is also a trained Designated Marksman and a Master Tactical Operator.  As a member of the Camden County Tactical Officers Association, Brandon was instrumental in forming and implementing the current Tactical Team Policy in Camden County.  Above and beyond his many tasks within the Borough of Mount Ephraim, he is tasked with commanding a SWAT team made up of 18 operators from 8 different Camden County jurisdiction.

In his spare time Brandon enjoys hunting, fishing and boating with his family.
