The Department of Defense (DOD), with assistance from local authorities, will conduct a training exercise in parts of Mount Ephraim from September 2-5.

This exercise is the culmination of months of planning with those jurisdictions. It is not in response to any current events. This exercise is not related to ICE or customs enforcement.

This type of training is frequently conducted numerous times a year in cities throughout all regions of the United States.

Residents near exercise locations may experience noise and sights related to an emergency response like helicopters, uniformed personnel, simulated weapons fire, and controlled explosions.

Public awareness and safety were taken into account during planning. Precautions will be in place to inform and protect residents near training sites along with considerations to minimize impact in the community.

Local police personnel will be on-site to safeguard the public and participants; volunteer fire on standby. There may be temporary impacts to traffic. For your safety, please follow the direction of authorities on-scene.

To maintain safety considerations, there will be no public or media viewing opportunities available during the exercise.

The members of Mount Ephraim Police Department take pride in our Borough and strive to provide safety, security and the highest quality of life possible to the residents we serve. We are a progressive and proactive law enforcement agency that places priority on the services we provide to our community.
